Founded in 2003, the Indian Students' Association at UC Riverside has been one of the key gathering points of the graduate students and scholars from India at the university. Our vision is to increase and promote awareness and understanding of India as a nation, a culture and a diverse yet essentially united body of people, through various means as appropriate.

Through this organization we try to promote the positive interaction among students of either Indian origin, or desirous of understanding the Indian culture. This includes ensuring the smooth transition of newly-arrived graduate students from India into the social setup of the university campus.

In the years of its existence ISA-UCR as an organization has been a key source of information and support for new Indian students coming to UC Riverside. It has served as a very broad platform for communication within the India community in and around the university campus. Through the year, ISA-UCR organizes activities and events, both social/cultural and sports, for its members in an effort to promote more social interaction in an otherwise hectic academic life.
